Prefects' Investiture Ceremony for the year 2024/2025

The Prefects' Investiture Ceremony for the year 2024/2025 took place on 13th September 2024, with the Very Rev. Fr. Gemunu Dias, Archdiocesan Director of Education and General Manager of Catholic Private Schools in the Western Province, as the Chief Guest.

The ceremony marked an important milestone in the lives of the newly appointed prefects, who were entrusted with the responsibility of upholding the values and discipline of the College.
In his address, Very Rev. Fr. Gemunu Dias emphasised the key lessons from the Biblical story where the mother of James and John, who are also known as the sons of Zebedee, requested positions of honour for her sons. He highlighted that true leadership in Jesus’ Kingdom is marked by servanthood, selflessness, and humility. Leaders are called to serve others, prioritise their needs over personal ambitions, and understand that authority is ultimately guided by divine purpose. Fr. Gemunu encouraged the prefects to lead with these principles in mind, fostering a spirit of service and dedication within the College.
We wish the newly appointed prefects success in their roles and trust they will fulfil their duties with diligence and inspire positive change within the College. 🤍💙
