Requiem Mass for the Repose of the Soul of His Holiness Pope Francis We, the Josephian Community at Wattala, gathered in deep faith and solemn reverence, with our hearts bound together in the sorrow of farewell, yet lifted by the hope of resurrection, to offer the Holy Sacrifice of the Mass for the eternal repose of the soul of our beloved Holy Father, Pope Francis. In his earthly pilgrimage, Pope Francis was a beacon of compassion, humility, and unwavering love. He was a shepherd who walked with the broken, gave voice to the voiceless, and brought the light of Christ into the darkest corners of the world. As we gathered around the altar, candles flickering like our prayers rising to heaven, and flowers placed tenderly before the portrait of our beloved Holy Father, we wept not only in grief but in profound gratitude—for a life poured out in service, for a heart so open to the poor, for a soul that bore the Gospel in every breath. In our tears, there is love. In our silence, there is reverence. May angels lead him into paradise. May saints receive him at the gates. And may his soul, and the souls of all the faithful departed, through the mercy of God, rest in peace. Eternal rest grant unto him, O Lord, and let perpetual light shine upon him. Amen. ✝️
